Deeply Superficial

On Wednesday I bought a $148.00 Coach purse that will, if I'm lucky, hold my compact, ID and debit card. You know, the smaller designer bag that says I'm too broke to buy the bigger one that will be over $300.00 after taxes. I purchased it because I'm tired of looking frumpy. A sleek designer bag over your shoulder says "I take pride in my appearance". It also says a variety of other things like "I have money", "I don't know how to manage my money" and "I'm superficial sheep following the heard".  The latter two apply to me.

I'm also eyeing a $225.00 Kate spade tote that is ADORABLE! It will put me in a deficit but I don't care.

I think I've been watching too much Sex In The City.

Hello Toes...

Long time no see.

Since I started running (which translates into brisk walking accompanied by bouts of slow, heavy jogging) I can actually look down without straining... provided I suck my gut in... to see freshly painted pink toes. Today is a good day.
